  • About

Founded as the Manchester Children’s Home in 1884, the Webster House is a trauma-informed residential group home for youth requiring intermediate counseling services. We serve children between the ages of 8 and 21. The Webster House exists to provide a safe, supportive, structured environment to youth who are unable to live at home. We are committed to a person-centered program that offers structure for youth to stabilize their lives, resolve issues and encourage personal growth. We are pragmatic in our approaches. Experience has taught us that love and kindness need to be provided in close conjunction with routine and structure. Our goal is to assist the resident with family reunification, independent living or an alternative plan.
Our intent is to address four areas of their lives: Physical: by providing a safe home, Social: by applying the norms of society, Personal: through counseling, activities, and a wide range of interpersonal relationships, and
Family: by rebuilding the bonds and reuniting the family.
