Hinckley Allen Names the Jaylen D. Berry Foundation as 2025 Social Justice Partner
Providing support for the foundation’s financial literacy and professional development training.
Hinckley Allen is proud to announce that the Jaylen D. Berry Foundation has been selected as the firm's 2025 Social Justice Partner. The Social Justice Partner Program underlines Hinckley Allen's commitment to supporting organizations with a proven mission of furthering social justice and racial equity. Recipients of the Social Justice Fund grant benefit from financial assistance and ongoing support from the firm to advance their organizational mission.
"Our Social Justice Partnership Program underscores Hinckley Allen's unwavering commitment to supporting the incredible organizations that are a part of the communities we serve. The Jaylen D. Berry Foundation exemplifies the impact of creating opportunities that provide individuals with the tools and resources they need to succeed. We are proud to support their mission and contribute to their transformative work in closing the opportunity gap," said Noble F. Allen, Partner and Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee at Hinckley Allen.
Hinckley Allen supports Social Justice Partners in two ways. First, the firm will make a one-time $10,000 financial contribution to the organization from the Hinckley Allen Social Justice Fund. These grants are flexible resources that the firm's Social Justice Partners can use at their discretion to address their most pressing needs.
Second, Hinckley Allen will strive to develop a close, ongoing relationship with its Social Justice Partners and identify other ways the firm can provide meaningful support. Depending on the organization's needs, this support could come in the form of pro bono legal services, volunteers, help with special events, board representation, and connections to other potential supporters.
"We are deeply honored to be named Hinckley Allen's 2025 Social Justice Partner. This collaboration will amplify our efforts to equip students from underrepresented backgrounds with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. Together, we are bridging the gap and building pathways to a brighter, more equitable future," said Jaylen D. Berry, founder and board chair of the Jaylen D. Berry Foundation.
Hinckley Allen established the Social Justice Partner Program in 2021 alongside the Rhode Island Foundation. Prior year recipients include:
- Connecticut Violence Intervention Program
- The Center for Law, Equity, and Race at Northeastern University Law School
- Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education (RISE)
