DESCRIPTION:The 16th annual Empty Bowls fundraiser is Sunday\, October 14th at Brookside Congregational Church\, 2013 Elm Street in Manchester from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm. Sponsored by the NH Potters Guild\, the event benefits New Horizons for New Hampshire\, a program of Families in Transition-New Horizons. Empty Bowls is an international project to fight hunger. NH Potters Guild members make and donate ceramic soup bowls. For $25 guests choose and keep a handmade bowl and are able to sample soups donated by more than a dozen local restaurants. Child bowl $5. Pint to-go $5 (last 1/2 hour of event). Bowls may be pre-bought online at www.NewHorizonsNH.org/events or attendees can simply show up.\n\n \n\nParticipating restaurants include: Airport Diner\, Angela's Pasta & Cheese Shop\, The Bridge Caf \, Buba Noodle Bar\, Cactus Jack's Southwest Grill\, Extra Touch Gourmet Caf  and Catering\, Fratello's Ristorante\, Granite State LunchBox\, Ignite & Hooked Seafood\, Jerome's Deli\, Manchester School of Technology\, New England's Tap House Grille\, Puritan Back Room\, Red Arrow Diner\, Southern NH University Culinary Arts\, Stark Brewing Company\, Taj India and Theo's Restaurant.\n\n \n\nNew Horizons for New Hampshire operates a homeless shelter\, soup kitchen\, food pantry and Angie's Shelter.
